Point to Point Links
Getting voice and data from one building to another within your organization could be a daunting task. But fear not, for BearCom has a solution for that challenge. Point to point links, using wireless technology, are the basis for achieving your objectives.
About Point to Point Links from BearCom
Special bridging devices create point to point links that allow you to connect IP video surveillance cameras and mesh broadband signals to expand your current network. The need for this can be within a facility, but as a rule, bridging devices most often are used to connect one building to another.
Additional Information about Point to Point Links
Connectivity occurs in your wired network by tapping into an Ethernet port. Replication of data through the system is with the use of 802.11a/b/g wireless (Wi-Fi) protocols. Point to point links bridge two locations or more. A bridging device in each of the two locations is used to facilitate the connections.
More Data about Point to Point links
Your operation may have multiple locations. That is not a problem, as it gives you a chance to really take advantage of your network’s resources across your organization. The typical configuration involves a root bridge, or base station, and a series of point to point links with all voice and data being required to go though the root bridge initially.
